PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a damaged thread in a hollow fiber array object. SOLUTION: This method is for inspecting for the presence of damages in the fibers of the hollow fiber array object 1 and comprises the following processes; (1) a process of immersing the hollow fibers in suspensions divided and pored in the wells of a microwell plate 2, (2) a process of leading the suspensions into the hollow parts of the hollow fibers, and (3) a process of measuring the quantities of individual suspensions led into the hollow fibers or the quantities of suspensions remaining in individual wells. Consequently, the presence of damages in threads, such as a pin hole of the fiber array object of a bundle of a lot of hollow fibers, and damaged threads in the fiber array object, and in addition easily and precisely.
