PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope equipped with UV illumination and a deflected distal inspection system, and free from conventional faults. SOLUTION: The endoscope is provided with the deflected distal inspection system, equipped with one rigid tube 10 including an observation means equipped with one deflected distal inspection prism 30 having an inspection axis 40 inclined to the axis 28 of the tube 10, and a UV guide means 44 which is stored in the tube 10, and which opens at the distal end toward a prism 48 for deflecting the illuminating light in a direction 50 nearly parallel to the inspection axis 40.
