PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio telephone system capable of matching a voice data update quantity on a transmission side with that on a reception side between arbitrary slots at the time of slot diversity. SOLUTION: The radio telephone system is composed of a master unit 20 and a slave unit 10, transmits/receives digitized voice data to be updated by a fixed period between the master unit and the slave unit by time division multiplexing and has a master unit timing control part 204 and a slave unit timing control part 104 capable of specifying voice data update timing in the master unit and the slave unit, respectively in the case of transmitting/receiving a series of voice data by performing multiple use of a plurality of slots between the master unit and the slave unit.
