PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information rewritable label to and from which label information can be repetitively written and erased without provision of specific apparatus for printing of the rewriting label. SOLUTION: The information rewritable label is an information rewritable label for an optically, magnetically or electrically recorded information storage medium and is provided with a color developing layer containing one or a plurality of photochromic compounds as the color materials constituting the label on a substrate.
