The present invention relates to a disk for a disk drive. A disk for a disk drive according to the present invention comprises a disk body 32 with a center through hole 34 for fixing the disk body 32 to a turntable formed at a center thereof; a clamping portion 36 formed on the disk body 32 around the center through hole 34 to fix the disk body 32 to the turntable; a signal recording portion 38 which is formed on a surface of the disk body 32 around a rim of the clamping portion 36 and includes a signal recording section 39 on which digital signals are recorded; and crack blocking portions 42 bored through the clamping portion 36 . According to the present invention, cracks c occurring on a rim of the center through hole 34 of the disk 30 are prevented from propagating to the signal recording portion 38 . Thus, there is an advantage in that it is possible to prevent the disk to be damaged.
