PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of a compressor by restricting temperature rise with respect to excessive temperature rise of a discharge gas temperature of the compressor and a controller for controlling operation frequency of electric power to the compressor since, when outdoor temperature is high, the operation of the compressor just after power-on is conducted at the maximum operation frequency of the compressor despite large load on the compressor. SOLUTION: A freezer-refrigerator is structured so that the operation frequency of the compressor 1 just after power-on when the outdoor temperature is high can be fixed as an operation frequency lower than the maximum operation frequency for a predetermined period of time. Whereby, reliability can be improved as load on the compressor is decreased and excessive temperature rise of the discharge gas of the compressor 1 and the controller 19 are restricted.
