PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal continuously variable transmission in which the difference between thrusts before and after a cavity can be minimized by greatly obtaining the shaft diameter at an input portion of power without directly connecting a power transmission shaft from a prime mover to an input side disk. SOLUTION: The toroidal continuously variable transmission comprises the pressure applying device 30 arranged in a first input side disk 2A opposite to an engine side. With respect to a second input side disk 2B and an input shaft 1 integrally rotating with each other, a power input portion 36a to input the power from the prime mover is extended in the axial direction outside a loading nut 32 in the radial direction.
