The folds (9, 11, 12) of the pleated bellows (2) fan out from a first narrow side (4) to one or more narrow sides opposite (5, 6, 7, 8). In each cross section (13) parallel to the first narrow side (4, 10), the folds are uniformly-spaced, with opening angles of adjacent folds being identical. The sides have sealing strips (14) running over the end faces of the folds, to which they are adhered or ultrasonically welded. The folded bellows is made of a filter fleece enriched with activated carbon.
