摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite beam formed of steel and concrete capable of effectively introducing a prestress thereinto by preventing the steel from restricting the concrete until a specified time is elapsed immediately after the concrete is deposited to minimize the effects of deformation and constraint of concrete by steel materials on the deformation of the concrete caused by the introduction of a prestress into the concrete. SOLUTION: The peripheral surface of a displacement stopper 3 installed on a steel beam 1 is covered with a set-retarding resin 4 with long hardening time to delay the timing when the composite effect of steel with concrete 2 can be developed. Thus, when a prestress is introduced into the concrete by PC steel materials, the prestress can be introduced before hardening of the resin because the steel beam is not restricted and, after hardening of the resin, the concrete 2 and the steel beam 1 can act integrally with each other.
