A print station (10) includes a support pedestal (12), a carry arm (14) adjustably mounted on the stand and a base unit (22); a print unit mounted on the carry arm said print unit having a print head array (44) holding one or more print heads (54), said carry arm further supporting an ink supply (18), said ink supply being arranged so as to be at a constant level with respect to the print head array. The print station is designed to be used as a stand-alone device, or in conjunction with a monorail system in which a number of print stations are mounted on a monorail and used with known form collator equipment to position print head arrays for printing on individual paper streams in a multiple paper stream printing operation. |
