<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image diagnosis support system improving diagnosis performance and working efficiency of a doctor by disposing necessary images when the doctor reads the images and outputting them as hard copy with no omission of medical image information, or the object to read. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 2 allows an abnormal shadow candidate detecting means 15 to detect an abnormal shadow candidate region of image data D input via transmission means 13, allows a contracted medical image producing means 17 to contract it at a predetermined magnification to form a contracted medical image, allows a contracted abnormality display image producing means 18 to superimpose annotation as a detected result of the abnormal shadow candidate on the contracted medical image and produce the contracted abnormality display image, and allows a composite image producing means 19 to dispose the contracted medical image or the contracted abnormality display image on the medical image to prevent the omission of the information of the subject region of the medical image data, produce the composite image and output it to an image recording device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
