<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup optical system, an optical pickup device and an optical information recording and reproducing device which have compatibility to a multiple types of optical disks, and which can compensate a spherical aberration variation resulting from an environmental temperature change in an objective optical system including a plastic lens when information recording/reproducing on a high-density optical disk is performed. <P>SOLUTION: This optical pickup optical system is provided with an aberration correction optical system which is located in an optical path between a first light source which emits a first luminous flux with a wavelength of 450 nm or less and the objective optical system, and which is made of a glass lens and a plastic lens of which the refractive power is positive. And the rate of change ΔSA/ΔT of the spherical aberration with the temperature rise in the objective optical system when information recording and/or information reproducing on a first optical disk is performed using the first luminous flux, satisfies the following formula (1).
