<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out a protein associated with an activation of an NAK (NF-κB activating kinase) in the transmission system of an NF (nuclear factor)-κB. <P>SOLUTION: This protein NAP1 (NAK-associated protein 1) binding with the NAK specifically and inducing the activation of the same, i.e., the protein having an amino acid sequence expressed by a specific sequence and its gene are found out. Also, a partial protein containing the NAK-binding domain of the NAP1, e.g. the protein having the sequence of 158-270 residues of an amino acid sequence expressed by the specific sequence and their gene sequences are also provided. Further, a screening method for a binding inhibitor of the NAK with NAP1 is provided. The binding inhibitor of the NAK with NAP1 is effective for rheumatoid arthritis, enteritis, asthma, dermatitis, an autoimmune disease, etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
