PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of parts and assembling manhours and to reduce manufacturing cost in a steering device 1 provided with a steering column 5 through which a steering shaft 3 is rotatably penetrated and a mounting bracket 9 for supporting the steering column 5 by a steering support member 7 so as to be vertically pivotable and slidable-movable in an axial direction of the steering shaft 3. SOLUTION: A first bracket 21 is supported to a second bracket 31 by a support shaft 41 penetrated through long holes 25, 25 and support shaft holes 37, 37 such that the steering column 5 is made pivotable making the support shaft holes 37, 37 of the singly formed second bracket 31 as a center. A pair of guide holes 39, 39 of the second bracket 31 and long holes of respective vertical plate parts 23, 23 of the first bracket 21 are penetrated by a guide shaft 51 connected to a tilt lever 53 for enlarging/contracting a gap of the first bracket 21 and the second bracket 31.
