PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a register system, comprising a plurality of general-purpose devices which are interconnected via a network and are equipped have different functions. SOLUTION: A bar code reader 1 or keyboard 4 broadcast broadcast data, based on the inputted data on a network 8. A register processor 2, a display device 3 and/or display device 5, and a drawer 7 receive the broadcast data over the network 8 respectively, perform processing that they should perform, by using the broadcast data when the broadcast data are data for the processing that they should perform, and broadcast broadcast data based upon results of the processing over the network 8.
