PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient printer and an image forming method. SOLUTION: This printer has an image forming section 120 which forms an electrostatic latent image on the surface of an image carrier roll 122 to obtain a toner image on it by attracting toner to the electrostatic latent image and transfers the toner image to a recording sheet medium carried through the predetermined transfer path, a primary fixing section 140 disposed downstream the image forming section 120 in the transfer path to fix the toner image transferred on the recording medium by the image forming section, a storage 160 disposed downstream the primary fixing section 140 to store the recording medium with the toner images fixed by the primary fixing section 140, and a secondary fixing section 170 disposed downstream the storage 160 in the transfer path to perform surface treatments on the toner images fixed by the primary fixing section 140 on the recording medium taken out from the storage 160.
