PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently improve the accelerating performance at the time of starting by reducing an accessory load. SOLUTION: In an AT vehicle, the discharge capacity of a variable displacement compressor 7 is decreased only by the time t1 corresponding to an evaporator temperature, when the AT vehicle runs at a vehicle speed slower than a specified vehicle speed, in a running range and a brake switch is turned from ON to OFF (the brake is released).
