PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive roll rearrangement apparatus for shortening a roll rearrangement time by extracting rolls from a rolling mill by piling them vertically and side shifting in the rolling mill in which driving mechanisms for driving a pair of upper and lower rolls are respectively arranged on the right and the left by taking the center line of the rolling mill as the vertical axis. SOLUTION: By mounting a first side shifting rail 164 to the driving mechanism of the lower roll, providing a second side shifting rail 225 fixing the position on the extension line when the first side shifting rail 164 is in a horizontal state, providing a vertically moving rail 221 which is vertically movable between the first and second side shifting rails and providing two groups of wheels which are rolled in the axial direction of the roll and wheels which are rolled in the direction perpendicular to the roll axis on the journal boxes on the driving side and the thrust side of the lower roll, in the case the rolls are rearranged, wheels which are rolled in the axial direction of the roll are rolled on the vertically moving rails 221 when extracting the rolls and wheels which are rolled in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the roll are rolled on the side shifting rails when side shifting.
