The invention relates to an apparatus which is intended for use by a person for specific technical training or muscle conditioning purposes. The inventive apparatus consists of: a frame (1) comprising ground support means (2); first support means (3) which serve as a stop element for the user's two shoulders; connection means (4) which provide a partial elastic connection between the first support means and the frame, said connection means comprising at least one degree of freedom in translation along a horizontal or essentially-horizontal axis (5); and second support means (6) which serve as a stop element for the rear part of the user's head, said second support means being connected to the aforementioned first support means (3) by partial elastic connection means (7).
