The invention concerns transformed plants, in particular transformed plants producing larger amounts of plastoquinones, tocotrienols and tocophenols, than non-transformed identical plants. The invention also concerns a method for producing said plants and a method for cultivating said plants. The inventive plants also exhibit the property of being tolerant relative to p-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase enzyme inhibitors.
