Deep hole boring is effected by mounting on a tool holder (10) a tool (T) such as a drill, reamer, end mill or the like having a through-hole in the direction of the axis (O), supplying pressurized gas of 1.5-5 MPa to the through-hole via the tool holder (10), and jetting the pressurized gas or a mist-like working liquid from the tip of the tool (T).
