According to the invention, once in position on the invention, the user can employ the adjustment device (3) in order to incline the backrest (4) forwards or backwards, block the backrest and, depending on the angle of inclination, work against a variable resistance using the height-adjustable coupling system (6) to vary the tension of the spring element (2) for the paravertebral regions.
