<p>A load displacer in the form of a load handling and transporting trolley 10 comprises a deck presenting top 12, a leg array 16 that comprises laterally spaced scissors arranged leg assembies 18 and a manually operable hydraulic ram 20 that is mounted to scissors fashion manipulate the leg assemblies 18. The leg assemblies 18 are formed from co-planarly arranged leg pairs 22 mounted to one another to pivot about a central axis 24. Once collapsed the deck 14 lies in close proximity to a support base. The legs 26,30 of the array 16 are fitted with wheels 50 that are lifted above a support base once the top 12 is fully lowered. The legs 26,30 engage freely displaceably pivotably with the top 12 and are held centralised thereto by means of centralising arms 46.</p> |
