<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for extracting an object, based on the color and visual texture. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to provide a method and device for segmenting a first region and a second region. This method, for defining a boundary separating the first region and second region of a digital image includes determining which pixels of the image satisfy a criteria for classification as associated with the first region, and which pixels of the image satisfy a criteria for classification as associated with the second region, based on one or more color arrangements by using a leaning machine. The digital image includes one or more color arrangements being the characteristics of the first region and one or more color arrangements being the characteristics of the second region. This method includes identifying the pixels of the image that are determined not to satisfy the criteria for classification as associated with either the first region or the second region.
