<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment whose operability is improved, and its control method. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic equipment is equipped with a touch panel 20 and a master microcomputer 100 which stores 1st to 5th areas R1 to R5 obtained by dividing an operable area of the touch panel 20 into two or more, and the master microcomputer 100 is configured to specify an area that a user operates according to a signal outputted from the touch panel 20 and perform operation processing based upon the specified area and the type of the operation that the user did; when the type of the operation that the user did is sliding operation, operation processing made to correspond to the sliding operation is performed according to the area that the start point of the sliding operation belongs to irrelevantly to the area that the end point of the sliding operation belongs to. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
