<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier wave injection device which can readily detect connection failure of a split transformer without using a particular device, and to provide a split iron core transformer and a method for detecting its malfunction. <P>SOLUTION: The carrier wave injection device comprises a carrier transformer 10 having a split iron core 20 for guiding magnetic flux, and winding 30 to be wound around the split iron core 20; and a device body having carrier wave injection means for injecting a carrier wave into a connector for connecting the carrier transformer 10, and into the carrier transformer 10 connected to the connector. The device body is provided with conversion means for converting a current which is proportional to an exciting current passing through the carrier transformer 10 into voltage, and a detection terminal for measuring the voltage converted by the conversion means to detect appropriateness of connection of the split iron core 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
