<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, wherein stable stripping is attained in a fixing means without damaging a rotary body in a fixing device when an image is formed on a recording medium which is stripped off with difficulty, and other influence is controlled even when the image is formed on the recording medium which is comparatively easily stripped off. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: at least (1) a toner image forming means which forms an unfixed toner image; (2) a fixing means 100 which is equipped with a heating rotary body 1 and a pressing rotary body 6; (3) a stripping guide plate 7 which is arranged so that one side thereof is close to a surface of the heating rotary body 1; and a gas ejecting mechanism 10 which ejects pulse-like compressed gas from a region held between the surface of the heating rotary body 1 and a surface of the exfoliation guide plate 7 toward a space between both. Further, the image forming apparatus is provided with: a peeling means for peeling the recording medium P from the heating rotary body 1; and (4) ejection controlling means 160,161 for controlling operation conditions of the gas ejecting mechanism 10 according to image information and/or information about the record medium P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
