PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operation such as boring of many holes, cutting to a work at a ultrahigh speed with an apparatus for processing the work. SOLUTION: A tool 100 is supported with a tool slider 116 and the tool slider 116 is connected to a crank mechanism 103 through a connecting rod 108, and the tool 100 is reciprocally moved to the front and the back sides by rotating a crank shaft 104. A die 102 is arranged on a die slider 130, and the die slider 130 is connected to an air rotary actuator 134 through a ring 126 and an eccentric ring 124. The tool 100 is advanced with the crank mechanism 103 through the tool slider 116 and the processing of the work is performed. After completing the processing of the work, the die 102 is retreated by rotating the air rotary actuator 134 during moving the crank shaft toward a top dead center, and the positioning of the work W to the following processing portion, is completed.
