An artificial auditory tube being a medical treatment implement that is available for the treatment of salpinx function disorders including salpinx stricture (tubal obstruction), salpinx opening symptoms, salpinx closing disorder and floppy tube. There is provided an artificial auditory tube consisting of a tubular member having a rear end for being positioned outside the eardrum within the external auditory meatus and a front edge that is inserted from the tympanic cavity side into the salpinx and is passed through the isthmus of auditory tube into the cartilaginous septum salpinx, characterized in that the rear end and the front edge communicate with each other by means of an axially extending internal cavity and that at the front edge portion, the internal cavity is open outward through a first opening, the outside diameter thereof being in the range of 0.35 to 3.0 mm, while the tube wall at a distance ranging from 9 to 30 mm from the front edge has a second opening communicating with the tube cavity. |
