An in-tie machine for moving the movable elements of a switching device , such as the switch points of a switch point assembly or the moving V-point o f a movable point frog, with a sliding device which selectively engages a contro l rod with either a fixed seat or a moving seat, to shift the movable elements and lock them in place.
