摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid hydrodynamic bearing with a thrust plate free from abnormal approach to a bearing sleeve. SOLUTION: The fluid hydrodynamic bearing comprises a shaft 2, the thrust plate 5 fitted to the shaft 2, and the bearing sleeve (1+3) having upper and lower ends one of which is blocked by a cover plate 6 for encircling the shaft 2 and the thrust plate 5 via small bearing gaps 4, 4' to be filled with lubricant 19. In at least one of fitting faces in a fitting area between the thrust plate 5 and the shaft 2, a thrust plate vertical communication groove 11 is provided for the flow of the lubricant 19 in a lower face side area and an upper face side area on the thrust plate 5.
