PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the air flow resistance in a case when a heat exchanger is used as an evaporator and to improve the evaporating performance. SOLUTION: Fins 1 arranged in parallel in the vertical direction and a plurality of flat tubes 2 joined in a state of being penetrated through the fins and horizontally arranged, are mounted in the direction perpendicular to the air flow, and the flat tubes are arranged in the chevron shape approximately axisymmetrically to a central line 3 in the air flow direction of the fins 1, whereby through the condensed water by cooling the air is generated around an air side of the fins and the flat tubes 2, the condensed water smoothly flows down by gravitational force as upper faces of the flat tubes 2 arranged in the chevron shape have inclination, and the increase of the air flow resistance of the heat exchanger can be prevented, as a result, the evaporating performance is improved, the required motive power of an air blower for heat exchanging with the air is reduced, and the heat exchanger of high performance can be realized.
