A needle assembly is provided that includes a needle hub having an interior cavity and at least one fin therein, wherein a barrel tip of a syringe barrel engages with at least one fin of the needle hub. The barrel tip may be elongated and extends from a distal end of the barrel. The interior cavity may have a substantially annular configuration. The barrel tip may form a substantial seal adjacent to at least one fin. This configuration advantageously reduces dead space within which medication may be wasted. |
