Highly branched (co)polycarbonates having improved flowability

A process of preparing a branched (co)polycarbonate resin is disclosed. The process entails using at least one compound conforming to formulae 1a or 1b in which R¹, R² and R³ independently denote linear or branched C₁-C₁₀-alkyl, R⁴ and R⁵ independently denote hydrogen or linear or branched C₁-C₁₀-alkyl, p₁ and p₂ independently of one another denote a whole number between 3 and 10, as a branching agent.
