A first person carrying a GPS receiver enters the relevant GPS location data into a computer (e.g. palmtop computer) at a GPS location and this computer has a file stored in its memory for converting the GPS data into an actual location in the physical infrastructure to which the object located by the GPS data belongs. The converted data is then sent to a second person at a remote location. The converted data can comprise e.g. a kilometer distance along a specific track or highway. |
