A rectangular building panel 4a having a resilient peripheral sealing strip 7 has latching means 11, 12 on its sides which are engageable with latching means 9, 10 respectively on members of a building framework, the latching means co-operating with means for drawing the panel towards the framework after interengagement of the latching means to bring the sealing strip 7 into tight engagement with the front surfaces of the building framework. The latching means 10 may include a spring mounted member which enables the latching means 10, 12 to interengage as the panel is swung from the position occupied by the panel 4a into the position shown at 4b. The adjusting means may comprise screws operably to displace the effective components of the latching means 10, 12 rearwardly and so displace the panel into the position shown at 4c. The sealing strip may be formed so as to abut and seal with the strip on an adjacent panel, or cover strips 7a may be inserted in grooves in the strips 7 so as to budge adjacent panels.
