摘要 <p>Production of a steel alloy comprises adding a gaseous alloying component and an inert gas to an atmosphere in a vessel with adjustment of pressure and concentration of the inert gas and the alloying component. Production of a metal alloy comprises: adding a gaseous alloying component and an inert gas to an atmosphere contained in a vessel; judging the temporal change of the total pressure, the temporal change of the concentration of the inert gas and the gaseous alloying component and the temporal change of the average gas temperature of the atmosphere; determining inert gas mass loss in the atmosphere; determining the theoretical mass loss of the alloying components; establishing the theoretical mass loss with the actual mass loss; and adding the alloying component in a required amount for such a time so that the metal alloy has the required content of gaseous alloying component at the end of the process. An independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the process. Preferred Features: The gaseous component is nitrogen. The inert gas is argon. The metal alloy is a steel alloy.</p>
