PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure removing system for removing a pressure between two platen rollers facing each other in a fixing device after a power source is turned off. SOLUTION: The pressure removing system (124) receives 1st electric energy having a 1st power parameter amount (for example, voltage, current and power) from a power source (125), and the energy is connected to a fixation assembly (122). The fixation assembly (122) is provided with the platen rollers (128) facing each other so as to form a fixation nip (130) when being pressurized. The pressure removing system is provided with a thermoelectric converter (132) for converting the heat emitted from the fixation assembly to 2nd electric energy, and a separation assembly mechanically connected to the fixation assembly. The separation assembly is provided with a controller (140) for supplying the 2nd electric energy to a separation mechanism when the 1st power parameter amount is below a threshold level, and separating the platen rollers from each other.
