PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical tunnel whose structure is improved to realize compact optical arrangement, and a uniform light illuminator using the optical tunnel and a projector adopting the uniform light illuminator. SOLUTION: The optical tunnel includes: a guide member guiding incident light so that the incident light is reflected on its side wall and advances inside and emitted light becomes uniform light; and an optical path changing part provided at least at one end of the guide member, arranged to be inclined at a prescribed angle to an incident optical axis and reflecting the incident light so as to change the course of the incident light. The uniform light illuminator includes a light source, the optical tunnel and a relay lens unit arranged opposed to the emitting surface of the optical tunnel. Furthermore, the projector includes: the uniform light illuminator; an image forming unit for forming an image; an optical path changing unit for changing the optical path so that the light made incident from the optical tunnel side may go toward a screen via the image forming unit; and a projection lens unit.
