PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the variation of paper attitude and transfer speed during image formation. SOLUTION: In a printer 10, transfer rollers 100 and star wheels 70 are disposed, in the same arrangement, in an image forming section A1 which faces an image recording head 44 and in specified sections A2 and A3 which are extended in the upstream and downstream sides, respectively, in the transfer direction from the image forming section A1 by the longitudinal width of a A3 paper sheet. Consequently, the load applied to the paper sheet during image formation becomes equal throughout the paper sheet, which minimizes the variation of paper attitude and transfer speed.
