PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a female member of a hook and loop fastener where manufacturing cost is reduced by saving the use of a knitting yarn and which is formed of a stable ground fabric free from yarn deviation. SOLUTION: In the female member of a hook and loop fastener of a warp knitted composition, a warp knitted fabric is knitted by using three kinds of knitting yarns of a chaining yarn 4, a tricot knitting yarn 5 and a weft internal yarn 6, a wale 8 is knitted by making the chaining yarn 4 skip one knitting needle 15. Subsequently the same knitting is performed and the weft internal yarn 6 is entwined between three wales. That is, the weft internal yarn 6 is inserted between 5 needles to knit a little rough warp knitted ground, and the tricot knitting yarn 5 is knitted into each wale 8 to prevent the deviating movement of a gap by a little rough warp knitted ground where loops 2 are formed on one surface of the ground fabric 1.
