IN-VITRO BIOFILM AND METHOD FOR EVALUATING MEDICINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vitro biofilm which is similar to a plaque under the edge of a human gum and is effective for searching and evaluating active ingredients against periodontal diseases and for developing agents for preventing oral cavity diseases or the like. SOLUTION: This in-vitro biofilm is formed by continuously culturing at least one kind of live bacteria living under the edge of a human gum in a culture liquid and adhering the continuously cultured live bacteria to an adhesion carrier whose at least one surface comprises an extracellular matrix constituent.
