PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope preventing an optical member or a unit including the optical member from being detached from a distal end body disposed in a distal end of an insertion tube even if erroneously cleaned/disinfected/sterilized by a user, having few components, and having superior assemblability. SOLUTION: This endoscope is provided with the rigid distal end body 12 having circular holes 14 in the distal end 11 of the narrow and long insertion tube 10 connected to an operation part operated by an operator, and the circular hole 14 is provided with an objective cover lens 26. Locking parts 50 and 52 for locking the objective cover lens 26 to the distal end body 12 are formed on the boundary between the circular hole 14 provided with the objective cover lens 26 and the objective cover lens 26.
