<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method and an inspection device for inspecting quickly a defect such as a cavity, a flaw and a stain, even when a machining oil or a cleaning liquid is deposited on an inner face of an inspected cylindrical object such as an engine cylinder. <P>SOLUTION: This device/method is provided with a cleaning part 3 for cleaning a residual liquid left in the inner face of the cylindrical object 1, an optical system 4 for detecting a two-dimensional image of the inner face of the cylindrical object cleaned by the cleaning part, an image processing part 8 for acquiring information of the cavity defect, the defect in the vicinity of a contour in a worked hole, the worked flaw defect, the stain and the like, based on the two-dimensional image detected by the optical system, and an output part for outputting the information of the defect acquired by the image processing part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
