<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development apparatus capable of securing the time to replenish a developing part with developer without stopping the developing operation of the developing part after the developer stored in a developer storage container is depleted, and excellent in developing accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: When determining that the development apparatus is set to be at least in either of a 1st state and a 2nd state, a control part 4 controls an informing part 6 to inform of the result of determination. Therefore, a latent image is prevented from being developed in a state where toner is insufficient, and the quality of development is prevented from being deteriorated. An intermediate hopper 3 is replenished with the toner from the developer storage container 7, temporarily reservoirs the toner and supplies the reservoired toner to the developing part 2. Therefore, even when the toner stored in the container 7 is supplied to the hopper 3 and the container 7 becomes empty, the developing part 2 performs development by using the toner reservoired in the hopper 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
