<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device in which a semiconductor chip of the same design which requires no complex process as a plurality of laminated semiconductor chips can be used. <P>SOLUTION: Each of laminated memory chips 1a-1d has an ID generation circuit 11 for generating discrimination information in accordance with a self manufacturing process. As a process variation is caused in manufacturing processes of memory chips, IDs generated by each ID generating circuit 11 are made different on another in spite of same design. A memory controller 2 detects respective ID of each memory chip by an ID detecting circuit 2a, and distinguishes each of the memory chips 1a-1d on the basis of the detected ID and controls it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
