RUTHENIUM COMPLEX, DYE SENSITIZING OXIDE SEMICONDUCTOR AND DYE SENSITIZING SOLAR CELL USING THE SAME COMPLEX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ruthenium complex having a new structure, having sensitivity to light in long wavelength area and capable of efficiently taking out electric current and to provide high-performance dye sensitizing oxide semiconductor and dye sensitizing solar cell each using the ruthenium complex.

SOLUTION: The complex containing ruthenium as a central metal and having a terpyridine having a binding group such as carboxy group and a diketonate compound (particularly diketonate in which phenyl group or a phenyl group having various substituent groups is introduced) as ligands is used as a sensitizer.
