PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an execution of other communicating function by stopping charging of communication tariff which is not intended when a display unit is closed during the operation of the communicating function utilizing the display unit and the continuation of a communicating function during an operation when the display unit is closed during the operation of the communicating function not requiring the utilization of the display unit. SOLUTION: The communication terminal connected to one communication channel and capable of realizing a plurality of communication types includes the display unit having functions of displaying a communication content, etc., and openable and closable mechanism, a panel opening and closing sensor which detects whether the display unit is folded up or not, and a control means for ending a communicating function if the communicating function requiring the display is during using when folding of the display unit is detected by the panel opening and closing sensor while continuing the communicating function if the communicating function which does not require the display is during using when the panel opening and closing sensor detects the folding of the display unit.
