PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a heat exchanger that can fill the fin between flat tubes in a simpler process as compared with a conventional technique for pushing out the fin F from an intermediate transfer pallet and filling the fin F between the tubes T, while the tube is being corrected so that the dimensions of the gap between the tubes become specified dimensions by an inverting plate. SOLUTION: While the end section in the longitudinal direction of the fin F is being chucked, the gap dimensions between the flat tubes T are corrected to specified dimensions by a chucking device 5, and the fin F is dragged between the flat tubes T, thus filling the fin F between the flat tubes AT by a simple process, and hence simplifying a manufacturing process, dispensing with the inverting plate 2a, dispensing with large facility investment for manufacturing the heat exchanger, and reducing the manufacturing cost in the heat exchanger.
