PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care preparation having truly excellent bleaching effect with no problems in terms of stability, safety, smell, etc. SOLUTION: The skin care preparation contains an L-ascorbic acid 2-O-alkyl ether derivative and one or more ingredients selected from the group consisting of L-ascorbic acid and its salt, an L-ascorbic acid ester derivative and its salt, an L-ascorbic acid glycoside and its salt, an alkoxysalicylic acid and its salt, a hydroquinone glycoside and its salt, tranexamic acid and its derivative, a resorcinol derivative, kojic acid, ellagic acid, linoleic acid and chamomile extract.
